Privacy Policy
This explains what information BillYaar (operated by Potebaki Limited, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, India) collects and how it is used.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, business name, phone number, email address, and a securely hashed password (we cannot see your password).
- Business data you enter: items, prices, stock, customers, bills and payment records.
- Technical data: basic server logs (such as time and errors) to keep the Service running and secure.
How we use it
- To run the Service: log you in, create and store your bills and stock.
- To send messages you or your account trigger: one-time codes (SMS or email) and bills to your customers on WhatsApp.
- To keep the Service secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your data and we do not use your business data for advertising.
Who else handles it
To deliver messages we use service providers: an SMS provider (for one-time codes), Meta's WhatsApp Business platform (for WhatsApp bills), and an email provider (for email codes). They receive only what is needed to deliver the message. Your business data is stored on our own server, not with those providers.
Your customers' data
Customer names and phone numbers you add belong to your business. You are responsible for having the right to store them and to message them.
Your choices
- Export your items and bills as CSV at any time.
- Edit or delete your data in the app, or delete your entire business from Business Settings.
- Turn on two-factor login for extra protection.
Security and retention
Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and we take regular backups. We keep your data while your account is active; deleting your business removes its data from the live system, and copies in our rolling backups are overwritten within a few weeks.
